The event, held on March 26, 2024, at the House of the European Union in Ljubljana, Slovenia, was co-organized by the Slovenian Association for Lacanian Psychoanalysis, the International School of Psychoanalysis – Lakan Balkan, and the Embassy of Ukraine in Slovenia. Moderated by Dr. Nina Krajnik, director of the Institute for War and Environmental Trauma, the discussion highlighted her fieldwork conducted just 30 kilometers from the Russian border in Kharkiv, Kyiv, Bucha, and Valky. Distinguished guests included Dr. Dimitrij Rupel, Slovenia’s first foreign minister, war correspondent Dr. Valentin Areh, Ukrainian Ambassador Andrii Taran, and Andrija Hevka, President of the Ljubljana-Kyiv Association. The focus of the event was to reinforce Slovenia’s continued support for war-affected communities in Ukraine.
